First working experience yesterday's yesterday, 101211! Was damn worried that I'll spill the drinks/ break the plates/ can't serve properly etcetc. Butwell, it's over YAY. (: reported at 3pm and was asked to fold napkins + wipe the tables. then had to check the setting and everything, omg I was asking myself "who really cares whether the cutlery are one inch away from the table." so yup.
Was given a 40 minute dinner break and the guys were warning me. "You'll take 15 minutes to walk down, 15 minutes to walk up, 5 minutes to queue for your food. So you know how much time you have left, please know what to do." k cause I walk damn slow & eat damn slow fyi. So, we ran down and I ate at my fastest speed but was still the slowest among all. :( then jiaxin went like "OMG this is the first time I see you eating so fast." and jonathan went like "next time your eating speed will increase alot if you continue to eat under such pressure." hellyeah!
After that, we've to know what food is going to be served for the dinner that night! Okay, freaked me out a little cause I was trying my best to memorize until I gave up. Thankgod no lame guests came and ask. :D poured cold water and lucky no spills. :P then have to stand and wait, stand and wait until everyone comes in. Omg, this is the toughest part of the day cause you'll just rot while standing! :( but on the bright side, all you have to do is stand and you get paid. LOL.
Then, have to unfold napkins for them when they arrive and serve them drinks. Nothing much actually cause it was a buffet dinner so everything's quite slack. The 2 guys at the coffee and tea bar seriously made my day! Why the 2 of them so cuteeee. :) as in, the way they talk lah hahahah. MJ told me he likes my smile, like awwww. And one Caucasian told me i got a sweet smile. OKAY CAN. :3
Overall everything went on quite smoothly! We got to see their performances and their pretty outfits, quite fun actually! ^^ the only problem that night was that some idiot went to remove the table cloth before all the guest left and refuse to admit who he/she is. Curse you okay. ): luckily we've got damn steady and forgiving managers who didn't put any blame on us so yup! Caught the 2.30am bus home. :) Blisters on my leg, sighsigh. Actually I don't know if I'll go back and work again cause we may not be so lucky next time. :( and I didn't really work for the sake of money but more for the experience and since I experienced it already, why should I suffer again right! :P
Furthermore, Mengwee warned me that the job would not be so easy next time especially when it's some wedding dinner then argh !@#$ can die one ok, don't playplay! So yeah, shall see how. Heheheh, in other words I'm just lazy. Simple as that. LOL.
Committee outing tomorrow with those cute juniors! Really hope everything will be fine and hope all of you appreciate one another cause good things are hard to come by yeah. Life can be bitchy sometimes but still, we can be bitchier -.- yesyes, don't regret when they're gone! xx.
